Carmelo Anthony: I Feel Bad For A-Rod

The New York Yankees are done for the season and yet the buzz about the seemingly humiliated Alex Rodriguez continues to swell.

Another New York athlete that lives in the consistent spotlight of the world’s busiest media market is Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony.

“I just feel bad for A-Rod, man,” Anthony told Newsday” I don’t like to see nobody go through that. It’s tough.”

Melo can’t put himself in A-Rod’s shoes sitting on the bench.

“I can’t imagine that,” he said. “I can’t imagine that.”

Of course Melo can’t imagine being on the bench in the prime of his career.

It could be worse for A-Rod obviously as regardless of how the rest of his career plays out, he’s going to get lottery paid.

Both the Yankees and the Rodriguez are saying all of the right things but there is a lot of time left to sever that complicated relationship.

After being traded from the Denver Nuggets to the Knicks in a high profile gold rush, one thing Melo can imagine is how it feels to be to expensive for a club that needs to go in another direction.
