Once upon a time, I asked where all the 'Good Guys' in sports had gone.
It looks like sports may have shown the light on one for us. Manti Te'o is a star. He is such a leader and disruptive force at middle linebacker for the resurgent Notre Dame football team, that he is getting serious Heisman love.
He is also experiencing one of the most heart wrenching years of his life, a year that I would not wish the downside on anyone. He lost his girlfriend and his grandmother within a few weeks. This is a month that would crush most people, sending them into a spiral of despair and self-obsession. What did it do for Te'o? It let him to try and help a grieving family.
