Bruce Arians Accepts Cardinals' Head Coaching Position

Bruce Arians has officially taken the Arizon Cardinals' head coaching position, vacating his offensive coordinator position.

The favorite for Coach of the Year (along with his partner in crime, Chuck Pagano) will go to Arizona, and take over a woeful Cardinals offense that features an aging unhappy superstar, no real good quarterback, the worst offensive line in the NFL, and a pourous running game. However, he will also be going to a team with a top 10 defense with some real stars like Daryl Washington, Patrick Peterson, and Darnell Dockett. There are a lot of up and downs on this team.

Arians leaves the Colts after spending only one season with them, but it was one hell of a season. After Chuck Pagano fell ill, Arians took over and took the Colts to a playoff birth with a 9-3 record (under Arians only). He developed Andrew Luck, who is a finalist, and perhaps the favourite to win the Rookie of the Year. His system rejuvenated the careers of Reggie Wayne and Donnie Avery, and helped formed TY Hilton's and Vick Ballard.

The man is an offensive genius. If Bruce Arians weren't on the team, I don't think the Colts make the playoffs.

The Cardinals are the last team to fill their vacant head coaching spot, after 3 were filled over the last few days.

The Cardinals fired 6 year head coach Ken Whisenhunt after ending 1-11. In short, they fired a former Steelers offensive coordinator for another former Steelers offensive coordinator.

Now, the Colts must find an offensive coordinator, and one that is good enough to fill the shoes of Arians. We'll keep you updated on the search for the next Colts offensive coordinator.
