Jim Harbaugh Says He’s Half The Coach His Brother John Is

It must be a gift and a curse to have a brother in the same profession, when both of you are really good at what you do and people around you expect you to fight for supremacy.

The Harbaugh brothers like any siblings are competitive with each other to a point, but do their best to avoid it turning into a rivalry.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is the older of the two and has always been a coach, Jim had success as a NFL quarterback before throwing his coaching hat on as well.

It should be no surprise that in the role of proud younger brother, Jim had no problem telling Comcast Sportsnet Bay Area that “he’s half the coach brother John is, and that his brother would basically coach circles around him.”
“I’m probably half the coach he is,” “But I’m trying.”
“I don’t think there’s any coach coaching in the game today that really has the full graspof offense, defense, and special teams like my brother has,” Jim Harbaugh told CSNBayArea.com.
It was not lost on Jim Harbaugh what a truly amazing thing is going on with two brothers in the conference championship games, poised to meet in the Super Bowl.
“Definitely, I’ve thought of that,” Jim Harbaugh said.  “You know, we’ve both got great kids.  We both have a great wife and a great job, and it’s a harder job to get than being a U.S. Senator, and proud that our family has two people that are doing it.”
