And the longest hitting streak of the season belongs too.....

Ok, Ok, so all he did was tie Andre Ethier, but this has got to be a sign of the upcoming apocalypse.

Dan Uggla is tied for the longest hitting streak in the majors this season, with a streak of 30 games.  30 FRIGGIN GAMES????/

There are several HOF members who never had 30 game hitting streaks, and Dan Uggla has one?

Dan Uggla of the .258 lifetime batting average?
Dan Uggla, the screw yourself into the ground with every swing, half-pint he-man pitcher hater?
Dan Ugglas, who has used this 30 game streak to raise his season average to .220.

Yeah, he has gone on a 30 game streak to raise his average TO  .220.  Eat his dust Mario Mendoza.

haha nice brother.. but you do realize that before he got on this hitting streak.. he was trying to change his swing to become a hitter and not a homer.. but now he's just swinging for the fences again..

Well, not to beat a dead horse, but

HE IS WHO WE THOUGHT HE WAS.

Uggla is a power source from an unlikely location, and he's good enough at it to have had multiple errors in one all-star game. He, as this streak illustrates, needs to just own his reputation as a swing for the fences guy who hangs out at second base.

Too bad he can't play for Boston though. Him in Fenway would be fun to watch. Course, Dustin P might have a few things to say about that.
