Did he really think he was helping?

So, Lebron James thinks that Tim Tebow is going to be a great player in the NFL.

That's very nice of him to say, but his tweet defending Tebow against Merril Hoge, who is known among football fanatics to be staunchly old fashioned in how he thinks offense should be run.  e.g. QB under center with a RB behind him and at least 1 TE on the field at all times., well that was a mistake.

Lebron has again made it abundantly obvious that he has not realized that he is not a hero in the eyes of America.  He is, depending on who you ask, either a villain, overrated, or a spoiled brat.  I am sure that many people would like to pick 2 out of 3, but I digress.

When you are in the middle of the biggest public criticisms of your life, it is not the time to "help" someone else out by telling the media to stop picking on them.

Timmy is a big boy, and he handled it well.  Lebron really needs to get a clue.
