L.T.

Ah, L.T., what a wonderful problem for a team to have. A superstar back who looks to have just crested his peak and is willing to work with the team to give himself and his long time teammates their best chance at a world championship.

L.T. is one of the best backs of his generation, possibly of any generation. He was perfect for time he has lived in, in terms of the offensive style of football. An averaged size back with incredible ball skills, burst, and the heart to go with it. He helped carry the chargers while they build around him, and now they are going to try and carry him to the promised land. What a beautiful sentiment.

Are you kidding me?!!!!!!!!!!! Why are people talking about L.T. like his career is over? He has at least 3 good years left, and he and Sproles are going to set the world on fire, or at least the AFC. If the Chargers are smart enough to truly balance out their carries, they should both be relatively healthy and ready for the playoff run that should be waiting for San Diego at the end of the year.

Now, I won't argue that it would be advisable for the chargers to consider using a first day pick on a running back and that there are couple who will go in the first round who would be great fits for their system in Moreno and McCoy. Just don't think that because they bring in a back it means anything other than they want him to learn from the best so they will be ready when it really is time for L.T. to move on.

Here's to a class act who showed a little loyalty. And how bout that, he is still going to get rich. A lot of other athletes could learn from his example. Good for you L.T. .
