Brandon Jennings says he’s Auditioning for other Teams

With the Halloween deadline having passed, members of the 2009 draft class have either been extended by their teams or are scheduled to be restricted free agents at seasons end.


Brandon Jennings of the Milwaukee Bucks was not given an extension by the team, perhaps a sign that the


Buck have plans to move forward without the young point guard.


Jennings may not be feeling the love in Milwaukee and provided some interesting comments when asked about his contract status.

Per Slam Online: Jennings was quoted as saying, “I think I just have to play basketball, come here every day and work hard. At the end of the day I’m still under contract with the Milwaukee Bucks. I’m still going to get paid so I have to go out there and perform. Just take it for what it is.”
He also added, “I’m going to just play this year out and do what I have to do here. The main goal is still trying to win, still trying to make the playoffs. Then I’ll be able to make my own decision. The main thing is, I could say I’m kind of auditioning for other teams, too. The fact if they see what I can do, what I can bring to the table this year for the Bucks, anything can happen in the summertime. Now I’m just going to take it for what it is and ball out, man. Take this as it’s my rookie year again. Take it that I’m the fresh meat that nobody’s ever seen play.

Jennings is a career 16.9 ppg scorer, so he is by no means a lackluster player. Perhaps the Bucks point to him only averaging just over 5 assists a game, as he is supposed to be the franchise point guard.

It might just be time for him to move on from Milwaukee, as it sounds like he might be preparing to take his talents elsewhere.
