Chris Johnson pays tribute to Sandy Hook victims

Chris Johnson pays tribute to Sandy Hook victims

During tonight’s game between the Jets and Titans, New York will be wearing a helmet decal, honoring the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting.

Chris Johnson decided to pay his own respects.

The Titans’ superstar running back will be wearing cleats that feature the names of every victim, along with the messages “R.I.P” and “S.H.E.S.”

Johnson shared the gesture on his Twitter account.

Since the shooting occurred, several athletes have acknowledged the 26 children and adults that tragically lost their lives.

The Giants’ Victor Cruz had perhaps the most touching gesture, dedicating his equipment to Jack Pinto, a 6-year-old fan who was among those killed.

Johnson’s homage is just as commendable.
