Roddy White Says Falcons Have the Pedigree To Go 16-0

The problem with this statement is recent history shows us that having the best regular season record or homefield advantage, doesn’t mean as much as it use it.

We saw that with the 2007 Patriots and 2011 Packers, who both were considered juggernaut teams that couldn’t finish the deal in the playoffs.

The Falcons had best record in the NFC and in 2010, then were smoked at home by the eventual Super Bowl champion Packers.

But, here is what White had to say about going 16-0.
“I think we’ve got the pedigree to do it,” White said. “Offensively and defensively and how we are as a team. The locker room is very, very united right now. We go into every week expecting to win. … We’ve still got to be consistent, don’t turn the ball over and get turnovers. That’s been the key to winning games all over this league. If we continue to do that, we’ll be just fine.”
What he is saying is absolutely true. They are a very balanced team who could easily run the table. The Falcons know that under the Matt Ryan era they are 0-3 in the playoffs and no one will take them seriously until they win a playoff game.

16-0 is nice, but being undefeated in the playoffs is all that really matters.
